Synopsis:
Set in the DWMA, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" which is the highest title for a weapon and thus fit for use by the Death God, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.
Maka & Soul Eater, Black Star & Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls, these students of DWMA defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger

Hakusenkan Gakuen High School, where the protagonist, Hanazono Hikari, attends, has a placement system. It has 6 streamed classes from A to F. Class A consists of the top 7 students and are admired by the other students. Of all A classes, from the first to the third grade, the most highly regarded class is called S.A, short for Special A. The students of S.A, the elite of elites, get special treatment; they wear special uniforms and study in a separate school building called the paradise on campus.
The seven students of S.A are: Hanazono Hikari, Takishime Kei, Todo Akira, Karino Tadashi, Yamamoto Megumi, Yamamoto Jun, and Tuji Ryu. Hikari is a hard worker. While the other students are children of rich families, she is raised in a common family. She attends this elite school in order to avenge her loss to Kei in a wrestling match when she was 6 years old. She thinks of Kei as a rival, and continues challenging Kei. However, she cannot beat him at any endeavour, and always finishes in second place.

Keima Katsuragi, a second-year high school student, is an avid dating sim gamer. He is known on the Internet as "The Capturing God" for his legendary skills to be able to "capture" any 2D girl in games. However, in his actual school life, Keima is known as otamegane, a derogatory portmanteau of the two words otaku (オタク) and megane (メガネ-"glasses").
At the start of the series, Keima receives an e-mail offering him a contract to "capture" girls. He accepts what is thought to be a challenge, and a demon from Hell nicknamed Elci appears. She asks for his cooperation to help her in catching the runaway spirits. These spirits hide themselves inside the girl's heart, and Elci suggests that the only method to force the spirits out is by "capturing" their hearts—making them fall in love. Appalled by the idea, Keima refuses after clarifying to Elci that he is only interested in "capturing" 2D girls and that he detests reality. Nevertheless, with the contract already accepted, Keima would have to help Elci no matter what; if they fail, both Elci and Keima would lose their heads.

He arrives in front of Katsuragi Yako whose father has been murdered, and smells a tasty riddle...
He agrees to help her to solve the murder of her father and in turn forces Yako to act as a detective in his stead, always searching for the ultimate riddle.

Gauche is a governmental employee, given the task to deliver any letter to it's destination. Meeting a young boy who is the letter to be delivered, Gauche makes friends with Lag and inspires him to take up the job. Five years later, Lag Seeing finally realizes his dream, that of a Letter Bee. However, the one who inspired him has gone missing and only there does the mystery start.
